Seeing as how no one responded to the first question...to up the ante, I am going to add a bit of "elixir of motivation"....those students who view the blog site will begin to have the added advantage of knowing selected quiz questions before the quiz so...if you want to do better...check the blog. - My inspiration for teaching this class comes from F. DeWitt Platt a phenomenal professor of Humanities from Michigan State University. In the 1980's while I was pursuing my Bachelor's degree, I had the honor of taking a class entitled "Vietnam Through Film". It was that class that the idea film could be be used as a text to better understand culture and history was originally conceived. This class is dedicated to Dr. Platt and the idea he implanted so many years ago.
